Lets hear it for the boys!

All of these cakes were for family and friends. The Lego cake was a challenge, but turned out awesome. The Star Wars and Lego cake were both fondant and the Georgia cakes were done using a stencil. These images are off of my phone, because I forgot to take pictures!

1st Birthday Cupcake cake

First birthday's are so special, to me. I was so excited to have the chance to "remake" this cake. The person who needed this wanted it to match her first child's birthday cake. The cake was yellow with buttercream icing and fondant stripes.Happy Birthday Eliza!

**The fondant I used for this cake was awesome. It tasted like candy. The purple stripes were grape flavor and the pink was strawberry flavor. Most people dont want fondant on their cakes, seems like a waste. Most of the time its peeled off the cake and thrown away. BUT this fondant you will want to eat. It was brought to my attention by a family member(huge thanks). I odered some samples, and it is the BEST. The company has several flavors including; buttercream, tutti frutti, chocolate, vanilla, blueberry to name a few. Dont be afraid of fondant, this stuff is amazing!!

Baby Shower Cake to match invitation

This cake was so fun. I sculpted the lion and trees out of fondant. The inside of the cake was tinted blue for the new baby boy. This picture was taken after my soon- to- be 2 year old took a swipe at the front of the cake, making for an emergency repair 1 hr. before delivery! The stripes aren't as straight as I would like, but it was the best I could do to mask the hole in the front of the cake. I learn something new with each cake. With this cake I learned that, we needed a lock for the refrigerator door(we have one now;0)& that vertical stripes require a SUPER steady hand!

"L" is for Logan & Abby's 2!

These were the first two cakes I was REALLY proud of. The first was for my best friend,Lori's baby shower. The second was for my niece Abby! Both are buttercream icing with fondant accents. Abby's cake was pink and chocolate on the inside to match the outside!!

oh happy cake!

So, I finally found something that I LOVE to do!! I've spent years trying to find a hobby. Cakes. All kinds of cakes. Birthdays, Baby Showers, Weddings. My favorite, 1st Birthday's. When I decided to make my son Jackson's tiny cake for his 1st Birthday photo shoot,...I Loved it!! It was just a simple, bright yellow round, 4inch cake with primary color sprinkles. Simple but Special! No store-bought cake would do! Since then I've taken three decorating courses, so helpful, though I've learned a lot on my own. I've made several cakes, since that tiny yellow cake. They have all been so special to me. My best friends baby shower, my nieces 2nd birthday,my husbands birthday,etc...
I love a good challenge. I'm some what of a perfectionist, If my name is gonna be on it, I want it to be great! I have several cakes coming up, and I am so excited about it. My hobby is turning into a business, and for that I thank my friends&family for their support.
